The Working Woman’s Diet

the best slow cooker

My Ninja 3 in 1 cooking system was the best purchase I have made by far this year. The simplicity of throwing vegetables, some lean protein, water, an array of spices and a soup base into one little bucket just puts your mind at ease.

Say goodbye! No more hassling with 5 pans, waiting for your food to bake or even just crossing your fingers hoping that it will taste good after all that effort you put into creating a dish.

My slow-cooker is my life-saver! I make huge crocks of soup, freeze the leftovers, and then have an instant meal any time I need one–a meal that took minimal effort to begin with.

I definitely need to share more of ‘em! Except I’m so bad at making actual recipes in the slow cooker, I usually just throw together whatever leftover veggies I have in the fridge/freezer with a protein and either curry spices or mexican spices–simple and easy, but not exactly recipe-post-worthy!

I found a vegetable-spice chart in my friends cookbook that was interesting because it explained which spices taste best with each kind of vegetable kind of like meats and wine. I will have to share it with you when I get to finding it! Love and Shine C
